Carpal tunnel or carpal tunnel-like symptoms are caused by irritation to the median nerve. This nerve starts at the neck and travels down the entire arm and into the fingers.

 

The median nerve has to be able to floss through the muscles when you move.  If you have scar tissue (think of it as glue) connecting the nerve and muscle together then the nerve cannot slide. This will cause pain, numbness, and tingling into the hand.  At Muscle and Joint Chiropractic we remove the “glue” holding the nerve and muscle together using ART, MAR, and IAR.
